Political Education

Harriet Tubman famously stated, "I freed a thousand slaves, but I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves."

The Workers Center for Racial Justice believes the cornerstone to any grassroots movement for social change is the development of critical consciousness by the people.

We are committed to being a catalyst for consciousness raising for Black workers and the communities that depend on them. Through our trainings, workshops and shared learning circles, we strive to provide a political education program that will help equip Black workers with a comprehensive analysis of the economic, social, cultural, and political structures that limit their opportunities to living wage and dignified employment.
